The OPTI-3 provides for transport of 1-3 DS3s over fiber by using a compact wall or rack mount chassis. Designed to meet the growing demand for DS3 deployment in today’s economy, the OPTI-3 eliminates the need for expensive SONET multiplexer equipment in terminal mode applications and provides the fullest use of OC-3 capacity. The OPTI-6100 provides graceful expansion from 3 DS3s to 48 DS3s by utilizing the SMX, MX, and LMX chassis.
